Rainwater Harvesting

Solar panels act as a collection-device for Rainwater harvesting (panel surface rainwater run-off) for 04 months of the year, that can be sieved-off into a charcoal filter and used for all purposes including drinking, washing and watering applications. This water is cleaner than traditional means of rainwater collection from the terrace-slab, since the collection surface comprises of hardened-glass that does not allow for accumulation of fungus and bacteria. Should the Solar Plant installation be customised to be fitted atop a water-tank, the collected water can be directly infused into the water-tanks after filtration, purely using gravity as a means of water-propulsion. Our innovation in this sector allows for the dual-benefits of Energy and Water conservation to be harnessed, leading to a win-win situation across two fronts by adoption of a single Solution. Alternatively, rainwater thus collected can also be used to recharge existing ground borewells that in turn feed underground aquifers, a much-needed activity in times of concretization across cities.

eV Chargers

It is a well-known fact that while eVs (Electric Vehicles) are great for the environment and is a new & upcoming field in the world of transportation and mobility, last mile or tail-pipe emissions are not 100% Clean, since the Energy for charging these could be derived from traditional means (fossilised-fuel based sources). Keeping the growing need of eVs in mind, we have forayed into the field of eV chargers. Solutions by BigSwitch India also include eV chargers connected to existing or new Solar PV plants, ensuring zero tail-pipe emissions at the location of deployment. This is achieved by buffering the Solar PV Plant size for existing Customers with additional Solar panels to cater to the requirement, or through provision of a small Solar PV Plant for a new Client.
